What is End of Life Care?

Palliative care involves the personalised care and support of a loved one who has a life-limiting illness. This can include anything from medical treatments to essential comforting support for your loved one and your family. 

Our aim as your loved one's care agency will be to provide them with the assistance necessary to give them a good quality of life until the end. We will endeavour to help them maintain a sense of independence and to remain as active as possible within the time they have left.

Our carers will help manage your loved one's symptoms, whether involving pain management or supplying them with the psychological and emotional support they need. Terminal illnesses are those that are incurable and that your loved one is likely to die from. These include conditions such as late-stage cancer, advanced dementia and motor neuron disease (MND). 

 Specialist Nurse-led Care

We have a trained nursing care team who will be able to see to your loved one's needs while also keeping an eye out for changes in their condition and reacting appropriately.    

 Preparing and Cooking Meals

Eating healthy is important throughout people's lives, even in the end. Our carers can create nutritious meal plans for your loved ones, prepare healthy food for them, and assist them with eating where needed.   

 Overseeing Medication

All our carers are fully trained to handle the administration of clinical medication. We understand that this can be a crucial part of palliative care, and our end of life carers all have the skills required.   

 Arranging Social Visits

we will help your loved ones stay in touch with their friends and family, arranging social visits whenever they like.   

 Safe Mobility

Mobility is an integral part of maintaining independence, and we understand how important this can be to those undergoing end of life care.   

 Trips Outdoors

our expert carers will be happy to help your loved one get outside and interact with their local community network. This can involve anything from a gentle stroll around the park to visiting friends and favourite spots.   

 Companionship

Our highly trained carers are on hand to provide both your family and your loved one with a friendly and compassionate person to talk with.  

 Tasks and Chores

Any duties that need doing around the house, including cleaning, laundry etc. can all be overseen by our professional carers.   

 Dignified Personal Care

This can involve your loved one's ablutions and washing tasks, help get dressed, and maintain self-esteem through personal grooming.  

 Pet Care

Our carers can even care for your loved one's pets, including feeding and walking. etting industry. 

What Does a Personal Home Carer Do? 

The daily tasks of a respite carer may include:  

 Personal care, helping with toilet routines and ablutions. 

 Nursing care, such as continence support.
